SLANT 45
A Program of the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee
Launched by the Super Bowl XLV Host Committee in 2009 in partnership with Dallas-based nonprofit BigThought, SLANT 45 was a student-led service-learning program that inspired youth to improve their communities in creative and meaningful ways. In 2011, SLANT 45 became one of the largest service-learning projects in U.S. history. By the end of the program in January 2011, 44,140 youth had logged more than 445,000 hours of service to their communities. BigThought has continued the program as a constant reminder that kids can spark change. When it launched, Purrsnickitty Design created everything from flyers and ads to workbooks and a unique website for SLANT 45, helping spread the nonprofit’s message and promoting its ultimate success.
