Fort Worth Classic
1 Mile Sprint + 5K
The Challenge: The Fort Worth Classic was an inaugural event at Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth, TX. Combining a timed 1-mile sprint with a traditional 5K, the event needed a brand identity that captured its unique format and Fort Worth’s character. The challenge was to create a design that resonated with runners and locals alike, honoring Fort Worth’s nickname, Panther City, while evoking the speed and tradition of track racing.
The Solution: To bring this vision to life, I developed a bold panther logo inspired by Fort Worth’s identity and the theme of speed. The panther features a subtle “FW” on its forehead as a nod to the city. The logo earned recognition in LogoLounge Book 14, ranking among the top 3,000 logos in the world. I created multiple emblems and lockups to expand the branding across merchandise, race shirts, and medal designs. One emblem incorporated a classic letter “C,” reminiscent of high school letterman jackets, to evoke old-school track vibes. A winged track shoe graphic added dynamic energy, bringing together a bold, timeless identity that celebrated Fort Worth and the spirit of track racing.
